Vintage tractors inspire at the big meeting on the Hühnerberg!

The big tractor meeting on the Hühnerberg in Bad Orb last weekend attracted numerous visitors, despite the tropical temperatures. The event, which took place under the motto “10th Oldtimer Tractor Meeting of the Oldtimer Tractor Friends Bad Orb”, was a highlight in the region’s event calendar. The Bad Orb gymnastics club, represented by chairwoman Lara Bangert, organized the event and warmly thanked the many helpers who contributed to its success. The Technical Relief Agency (THW) and the Gradierwerkfreunde were also actively involved.

Visitors could look forward to an impressive selection of 75 tractors and historic vehicles. In particular, the road tractor from 1941 made fans of classic agricultural technology light up their eyes. Visitors were invited to stroll through the huge grounds and admire the tractors and old farm machinery on display. A tractor parade even led directly into the city area and put a smile on the faces of residents and onlookers.

A feast for the senses

However, the tractor meeting offered more than just old machines. A hearty trucker's breakfast and a morning pint concert by the TV wind orchestra under the direction of Ryszard Soberka provided musical entertainment. The physical well-being was also well taken care of: coffee, cake and home-made cider were on the menu. This generous offer was provided by the members of TV 1868 e.V. Bad Orb.

The event took place as part of the Bad Orber Köhlerfest, which gave the event additional flair. Under the bright blue sky, the participants experienced an unforgettable day with many opportunities to exchange ideas and make new acquaintances. In addition, the parking situation was well regulated by designating the street to the festival site as a one-way street in order to avoid oncoming traffic.

Variety of attractions

A special highlight was the salt boiling show, where visitors could experience the production of “white gold” up close. The members of the historical society also held tours of the museum, which provided a deep insight into local history. The musical conclusion of the festival was provided by the dance band “The Gentlemen”, who invited all guests to dance.

The 35 teams with caravans that stayed overnight on the square brought additional life to the event. Lother Altenberend from Bad Pyrmont was there for the third time and was thrilled by the great atmosphere that the tractor meeting exuded.

All in all, the tractor meeting was a complete success, and both organizers and visitors were satisfied - despite the adverse weather conditions, which could not prevent the atmosphere from being great. “We are already looking forward to the next meeting!” said Lara Bangert, who looked into the future in a hearty way.
