There have been several incidents in Bad Homburg in the last few days that made headlines. A break-in, a kitchen fire and various acts of vandalism caused excitement in the region.

The burglary, which occurred between August 6 and August 8, 2025, attracted the attention of local residents. On Gartenfeldstrasse, unknown perpetrators climbed over the outside facade and got into an apartment on the 4th floor via the balcony. After a search of the premises, the burglars fled undetected and no information is yet available about the stolen goods. Fire in Bad Homburg

If you talk about Bad Homburg, you can't ignore the kitchen fire that broke out on Heuchelheimer Straße on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at around 6:50 p.m. The fire was caused by food being forgotten on the stove. The 31-year-old resident suffered minor injuries and had to be taken to hospital. The fire department was able to put out the fire quickly so that other residents could return safely.

Vandalism and traffic accidents

The material damage was estimated at around 2,100 euros.

In addition, there was an incident of vandalism in Steinbach in which several parked vehicles on Berliner Straße were vandalized on the night of Thursday, August 7th to Friday, August 8th. Four cars' tires were slashed. Here too, the perpetrators left the scene undetected. The damage amounts to several hundred euros.
