ESWE Verkehr brings festival visitors comfortably to the Rheingau – find out now!

The hot phase of the Rheingau Music Festival is just around the corner! An exciting music season awaits us from June 26th to September 5th, 2025, and there is great news for those arriving. The collaboration between ESWE Verkehr and the Rheingau Music Festival will be revived this year. As reported by rheinmainverlag.de, a shuttle bus service is offered to selected concert venues in the Rheingau in order to enable visitors to travel comfortably and in an environmentally friendly manner.

The shuttle buses leave Wiesbaden Central Station, specifically from bus platform D, 70 and 60 minutes before the start of the events. There are also boarding options at the Platz der DeutschenUnity (bus platform B) and at the Kahle Mühle P+R in Wiesbaden-Biebrich. In total, two outward journeys and two return journeys will be offered on 36 event days, with the exception of a few selected concerts in the hospital cellar and in the private garden of Vollrads Castle.

Free shuttle bus service for ticket holders

According to wiesbaden-leben.de, ticket holders can be happy: the shuttle bus service is free and integrated into the combined ticket of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV). This combination ticket allows visitors to use all means of transport in the RMV tariff area without restriction on the day of the event, with the exception of online tickets.

The festival program leaves nothing to be desired. With events at Eberbach Monastery, excellent Cuvéehof concerts at Johannisberg Castle and many other highlights, there is something for every musical taste. The shuttle bus is also used especially for the Steinberger Table Round, which takes place on July 31st and August 1st, as well as the concerts on the lake stage at Vollrads Castle from July 13th to 15th.

Important information about arrival

The departure times of the shuttle buses are optimally planned: they leave from the main train station 70 and 60 minutes before the start of the event. If you get on from Platz der DeutschenUnity or the Kahle Mühle P+R stop, you have 66, 56 or 60, 50 minutes to get to the event. Visitors should find out about connection options in good time so that they can arrive relaxed.

Further practical information: The RMV combination ticket is valid on the day of the event from five hours before the start of the event for the return trip until the end of operations. Please note that only the original combination ticket entitles you to travel - copies are invalid.
