Detours and wine enjoyment: Hochheim wine festival is approaching!

The anticipation is increasing because from Friday, July 11th to Monday, July 14th, 2025, the old town of Hochheim will once again be the venue for the popular Hochheim Wine Festival. As Wiesbaden.de reports, visitors can expect a great range of culinary delicacies and fine wines, which can be enjoyed in a cozy atmosphere in the romantic vineyards and the picturesque old town.

ESWE Verkehr offers a special event ticket for all festival visitors who want to travel comfortably and relaxed. This costs 5.20 euros for adults and 3 euros for children and allows you to travel there and back within tariff area 6500, which covers Wiesbaden, Mainz and the surrounding area. A real bargain when you consider that the ticket is valid until 5 a.m. the following day or until the last Nightliner ride. The ticket can be found at advance booking offices and from the drivers, so there are plenty of options to organize yourself in good time. Information about this is also available on the ESWE Verkehr website.

Detours and timetable changes

It is important to note the changes to the timetable: From Thursday, July 10th to Tuesday, July 15th, line 46 will be rerouted, which is due to the construction work for the wine festival. In the direction of Hochheim train station, the buses first serve the “Hochheim Wasserturm” stop, then turn right into Dresdener Ring and follow the route 48 to Hochheim train station. However, the “Alleestraße”, “Antoniusstraße” and “Daubhäuschen” stops will remain in operation. In the direction of Wiesbaden the diversion takes place in the reverse order. So if you're planning a bus trip, you should take these changes into account when planning your trip!

The Hochheim Wine Festival is not only an absolute must for the locals, it is also an opportunity for visitors from the surrounding area to discover new tastes and take part in one of the most beautiful wine festivals in the region. A festive atmosphere and a wide range of stands invite you to stroll, feast and enjoy. The crowning conclusion is a spectacular fireworks display in the vineyards, which amazes visitors.

The charm of the wine tradition in the region

In the area and beyond, the wine festival aims to celebrate the rich winemaking culture. Similar to the Ahrweiler Wine Weeks, which take place in the first two weeks of September and are considered the region's red wine metropolis, the tradition of wine production is also in the foreground in Hochheim. Visitors can look forward to excellent wines, fine food and a great musical stage program. The wine festival brings communities closer together while enjoying the beautiful countryside.

If you're looking for a festive weekend full of tradition, you shouldn't miss the Hochheim Wine Festival!
