SC Eschborn celebrates promotion: New adventure in the district league!

After an eventful history, SC Eschborn is back in football and is proudly celebrating its promotion to the regional league. After the bankruptcy of 1. FC Eschborn in May 2016, when all gaming operations were stopped, a group around Marcus Hegedüsch and Fatos Gurguri dared to make a new start in 2025. The newly founded club, which is based on the foundations of the former traditional team, set itself the clear goal of being successful in the B-League Main-Taunus and ultimately establishing itself in the district league. Nine years after SC Eschborn was founded, it is now done and the anticipation for the new season is palpable. According to Fupa the adventure begins on August 10th against Germania Weilbach and at the same time the first derby against FSC Eschborn will kick off on the second matchday on August 17th.

Coach Yury Thacherial has clear ideas for the upcoming season. He demands that his team grow both physically and tactically. The goal is to acclimate well to the league and reach a single-digit place in the table at the end of the season. Thacherial emphasizes the good cooperation with coach Giuseppe Petrillo, which is of great importance for the sporting development. Last season, SC Eschborn had the strongest defense in the league and only conceded 41 goals. It will be particularly important that top scorer Marcel Díaz Aptiev, who was suffering from a torn cruciate ligament, finds his way back to his old form.

A new beginning with a breath of fresh air

The re-foundation of SC Eschborn is no coincidence. There were intensive discussions with those responsible at 1. FC Eschborn in order to take over the playing rights and take a completely new path. The current situation was explained in detail at an information event and numerous members, including youth coaches and second team players, showed great interest in the project. Hegedüsch and Gurguri, who both come from the financial sector, are working to strengthen youth development and promote the integration of young talent. In their plans, SC Eschborn would also like to register a second team in order to further promote the development of young players. The establishment still has to be approved by the local court before the club can be included in the association register, as FNP reports.

In order to be successful in the new league operation, SC Eschborn is pooling its strengths: ten players have left the club, while at the same time eight new talents were brought in to bring fresh impetus to the team. The arrival of new players like Timon Stasch, Khalid Naimi and Muhammed Akyildirim shows that they are ready to seriously raise the sporting level. The mix of experienced players and fresh faces could be crucial to how the team fares next season.

The excitement about promotion and the challenges that the district league brings with it couldn't be greater. SC Eschborn is ready to face the new circumstances, while the entire football community is looking forward to the first games.
