Letter of honor for Harald Falk: role model for young athletes in Hesse!

Hesse's Prime Minister Boris Rhein honored 49 members of the police, federal police, judiciary and US Army at the Hessentag in Bad Vilbel on June 22, 2025. These honors recognize the special commitment and selfless actions of the honorees, who contribute to their respective communities in a variety of ways. The award ceremony took place as part of a festive ceremony that focused on the achievements of these people.

The awards included a total of 15 Hessian rescue medals, eight letters of honor from the state of Hesse, seven certificates of thanks and recognition and 19 public commendations. Volunteering is the focus

The honorary letter has been awarded since 1973 and honors outstanding voluntary work in the areas of democracy, social affairs or culture. Between 1,000 and 1,500 letters of honor are awarded every year in Hesse, although the decision to award them is now usually made by the district administrators and mayors. The prerequisite for the award is at least twelve years of active voluntary work in municipal institutions or associations with social and cultural goals. With his commitment, Harald Falk has what it takes to act as a role model for many young athletes. From 2004 to 2024 he was active on a voluntary basis in the training of young American football players, showing how important it is to him to promote young talent. But that wasn't all: Falk has also taken on responsibility at the TV Eschborn gymnastics club since 2012. He leads the youth training there and organizes the implementation of the German sports badge. In addition, he has been conducting mental training since 2015 and accompanies young people in rhythmic gymnastics. Since 2017 he has also been leading rehabilitation orthopedic training and spinal gymnastics at TV Eschborn.

Role model function and commitment

Prime Minister Rhein praised Falk's intensive commitment as a coach, trainer and mentor and emphasized his role model function for the young athletes.
