Wishing tree in Groß-Gerau: Gift wishes for children in need!
The contemplative time of year is approaching, and in the district town of Groß-Gerau the Christmas joy is being planted with a special campaign. Children and their families can now submit wish lists for the Christmas tree in the foyer of the town hall. This is reported by the RheinMainVerlag website, which provides all interested families with details about the Christmas tree campaign.
The idea behind the wish tree campaign is to bring joy to children aged 0 to 10 from Groß-Gerau and the districts of Dornheim, Berkach, Wallerstädten and Nord. Families who are receiving social benefits and can prove this, for example through citizen's benefit or social assistance, are eligible to participate. Registration can be done conveniently by email wunschbaum@gross-gerau.de.
Submit your wish list by November 14th
Families have until November 14, 2025 at the latest to hand in their wish lists at the information desk in the town hall. The contact details of the guardians should be included on the pieces of paper, including telephone number and email address. In order to really bring joy under the Christmas tree, the wishes should meet a few criteria:
- Der maximale Wert pro Kind beträgt 25 Euro (inklusive Versandkosten).
- Die Geschenke müssen altersgerecht sein.
- Bei Kleidungsstücken oder Schuhen ist die Angabe der Größe notwendig.
- Guthabenkarten, Gutscheine sowie Kriegs- und Spielzeugwaffen sind ausgeschlossen.
- Idealerweise sollten die Wünsche in Geschäften der Umgebung oder bei Amazon erhältlich sein.

A winter spirit of community
Such actions are also a good way to strengthen the community and have a positive impact on the lives of families in need. At a time when economic challenges are putting many people under strain, it shows how important it is to show solidarity and help each other. The city of Groß-Gerau has shown a good hand here and enables the little ones to enjoy a contemplative Christmas time.
Preparations are in full swing and everyone involved is hoping for numerous wish lists. If everything goes well, the foyer of the townhouse will soon become a Christmas wonderland where dreams come true for the young and young. How nice would it be if every wish came true? That would be a really nice present this year!
