On Sunday, the 27th sculpture park in Mörfelden-Walldorf was officially opened and will inspire visitors until September 7, 2025. In the middle of the citizens' park, which serves as a location for this outstanding open-air exhibition, 13 talented artists from the region show impressive works. The motto "Form as a body of perception" - more than just a nice saying - reflects in the sculptures, which are made of materials such as steel, fiberglass, wood, glass and bright colored color. The event is organized by the municipal gallery, the support association Skulpturenpark and the sports and cultural office of the city of Mörfelden-Walldorf and emphasizes the high priority of art and culture in the region.

District Administrator Thomas wants to emphasize the importance of the sculpture park for the region and the cultural summer of southern Hesse. In his words of thanks, he made it clear that the voluntary commitment and support of sponsors are crucial for the implementation of the event. The number of visitors achieved at the opening speak for themselves and indicate the great interest in the works of art. The park is free of charge and accessible, which makes it a great goal for young and old.

The exhibition presents a diverse range of object art, sculptures and installative work that not only use different materials, but also address a variety of topics. The specialist jury, who chose the artists participating in the exhibition, is another sign of the high quality of the works shown. The participants include Irene Anton and Felicithas Arndt, both of whom are known for their creative approaches. The award ceremony for the best sculptures, which are determined by a public voting and an expert jury, will take place on September 7th at 12 p.m.

To enrich the experience in the sculpture park, there is an exciting accompanying program. On August 1st, visitors can take a tour of the park, while a conversation with the artists will take place on August 8 - an excellent opportunity to learn more about the background of the works. The highlight of the program will be the dance interpretation of the sculptures by the Artodance Company on August 29 at 7 p.m.

The sculpture park is not only a place of art, but also a place of encounter. As the history of art shows in public space, art has the strength to spark discussions and strengthen communities.
