TV Petterweil wants the next win with speed against Groß-Umstadt!

It's an exciting day for all handball fans in Hesse: TV Petterweil, under the leadership of coach Martin Peschke, is facing an important challenge in the regional league. Next Saturday evening, at 7 p.m., TVP will meet TV Groß-Umstadt in the Heinrich-Klein-Halle. While Petterweil has had a strong season with five wins from six games, the situation for the Groß-Umstadt team is completely different.

Groß-Umstadt, a newly promoted team, is fighting its way back into the top league after two years of absence. With only one win – a 28:21 against Bruchköbel – from the last five games, they are under pressure. The other results show a challenging picture: Pohlheim (20:25), Bürgel (30:34), Obernburg (21:23) and Vellmar (25:32) were able to win against them. However, the goal of the Groß-Umstadt team remains clear: staying in the league.

Superior form of TV Petterweil

Coach Peschke is optimistic and plans to physically overwhelm the opponents with a fast game. Even if he has to do without the injured pivot Björn Pape, who is out due to foot inflammation, there are some promising talents at Petterweil. Benedikt Pfeiffer and Maximilian Asam will take on important positions in defense and attack. Peschke can also count on the performance of the two, despite Asam's physical disadvantages in attack.

TV Petterweil's results so far underline the team's positive development. A look at the last games shows an impressive form: For example, on September 14th, Körle/Guxhag was defeated 34:17, and the Petterweiler also won against Eintracht Baunatal with 37:33. The other results are: 26:32 against Gensungen/F., 37:31 against Groß-Bieberau and 29:33 against Pohlheim, followed by an ultimately close 21:25 against Bruchköbel. This series has earned Petterweil second place in the table, level on points with the leader.

Players under observation

One player who is definitely in focus is left-hander Luca Braun, who has already scored 46 goals and is considered a key player. There is a lot of reason for the coach to hope that the good performance can continue against Groß-Umstadt.

The challenge won't be easy, but with a well-coordinated team and the right tactics, TV Petterweil definitely has the opportunity to secure the points this weekend. Even if the Groß-Umstadt team has some personnel concerns, they always have a serious opponent in player-coach Philipp Keller and experienced middlemen like Rico Funck and David Acic.

There is great joy and excitement in the region, and all handball fans are looking forward to next Saturday. TV Petterweil wants to prove its skills and take another step towards staying in the league, while Groß-Umstadt will do everything in its power to get its first home win of the season. As usual, an exciting duel promises a lot of action and puts the teams under pressure - so it remains to be seen who will leave the field as the winner.
