The Vogelsbergkreis Adult Education Center in Alsfeld invites you to a free lecture on November 30th that deals with the important topic of protection against fraud and cybercrime. The expert from the Cybercrime Advisory Service at the East Hesse Police Headquarters will give participants valuable insights into common scams such as the grandchild trick, shock calls as well as phishing and identity theft. Oberhessen Live reports, such scams have often become more sophisticated and complex, underscoring the need for education and protection measures.
The current methods used by criminals are diverse. The lecture will discuss how fictitious “shock calls” or confidential messages via messenger services are used to obtain money, valuables or even assets.
