Mega Youth Church Day 2026 in Alsfeld: 4,500 participants expected!
The anticipation for the Youth Church Day (JKT) 2026 in Alsfeld is increasing! From June 4th to 7th, the city will be transformed into an exciting hub for young people from the region and beyond. With an expected number of participants of around 4,500 young people, this event, which is being held under the umbrella of the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau (EKHN), promises to be a real highlight. Preparations are already in full swing, as the local schools will serve as permanent accommodation for the young people.
The Evangelical Church relies on the support of regional actors. District Administrator Dr. Jens Mischak and First District Councilor Patrick Krug are behind the event and have advocated for the Krebsbach and Schillerstrasse school locations to be available for accommodation. The Max Eyth School, the Albert Schweitzer School and the Zwilling Scholl School will serve as quarters for the youth groups. In this way, the local community is actively involved in what is happening.
A colorful program for everyone
The JKT offers a varied program with creative, sporting and musical offerings. Church services start at 10 a.m. every day, even in the outdoor pool! Enthusiastic visitors can look forward to three theme parks and a volunteer park, open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Things get really exciting in the evening: an aqua party in the outdoor pool as well as concerts in the town hall and on the market square are on the program, with the evening events ending around 10:30 p.m. There is something for everyone here – regardless of whether you want to spend the evening celebrating or reflecting.
The ticket prices are fair: a season ticket costs 40 euros including breakfast and overnight stay, the 2-day ticket costs 25 euros, while a day ticket only costs 10 euros. Ticket sales begin in January 2026. Advance reservations are necessary for some highlights, such as the Konfi Rally and the Aqua Party. If you want to take the train to Alsfeld, this is the perfect place for you: getting there is easy and the train station is in the immediate vicinity.
A safe environment for all participants
To ensure the safety of everyone involved, a comprehensive prevention and protection concept was developed. An awareness team will be available 24/7 to offer support and pastoral care. There is a ban on alcohol and a ban on smoking on the event site to ensure a positive and safe atmosphere. Sustainability measures are also being planned, as the environment should also be taken into account.
The Youth Church Day is highlighted as an important event in the Vogelsberg district, and preparations for this sensational event are already in full swing. Those interested also have the opportunity to contribute to donations. The Evangelische Bank eG Kassel is pleased to receive contributions that can be paid under the note AO 1192, donation to the Jugendkirchentag.
As the exciting journey to the JKT shows, there is really something going on in Alsfeld!
