There will soon be a race again in Rotenburg an der Fulda! The 6th Red Castle Run will take place on August 23, 2025 and the anticipation couldn't be greater. The organizers have set a new participant record: almost 1,400 sports enthusiasts have already registered. And the best part? Registrations are possible until August 16th, either online or on site at the competition center on the day of the event. If you are still undecided, you should hurry up – the event is highly sought after!

The Red Castle Run, which originally debuted on August 24, 2019, has become a popular event in recent years. The Speed ​​sports agency has put a lot of passion into the organization and not only offers running routes for ambitious competitors, but also for recreational athletes. With different distances – from the 4 km long Figge Fun Family Tour to the challenging 16 km long Himmel und Papesch Ritterrunde – there is something for everyone. Maybe you'll make new friends while racing around the track!

Special highlights and challenges

Particularly exciting is the return of the tank wash, which has not been part of the route in recent years. Thanks to the Nature on the Trail (NADS) association, which also supports nature conservation measures, this unique obstacle will once again provide a lot of fun and adventure. The challenging obstacles and the picturesque backdrop make the run an unforgettable experience.

This year the event is taking place on a Saturday for the first time, which gives participants a relaxing Sunday afterwards. After crossing the finish line, everyone can expect an after-show party with the DJ team Taktfühl from Bebra, which will get you in a party mood on the festival site from 5:00 p.m. This is the first time since 2019 that an after-show party will be part of the event. There's definitely something in the air!

Why run along?

With the possibility to register until January 10th with early bird prices as well as the option to purchase vouchers, t-shirts and medals in the shop, preparation is also child's play. Anyone who wants to prepare for the Red Castle Run can benefit from the collaboration with the clever fit studios in Bad Hersfeld and Bebra. And for those who still need it, the Dirty Church Run will take place on July 7, 2024 as a preparatory run. After all, good preparation means more fun!
