Ronshausen celebrates the topping-out ceremony: new crèche for 124 little rainbows!

In Ronshausen, a charming town in Hesse, an important event was celebrated these days: the topping-out ceremony of the new “Rainbow” daycare center took place and announced the progress of a project that not only enriches the built landscape, but also strengthens family friendliness in the community. The new building, which costs around 2.8 million euros, extends over 710 square meters and will offer space for up to 124 children.

Numerous community politicians, architects, construction workers and employees of the future daycare center gathered on the edge of Ronshausen train station. In his speech, Mayor Markus Becker emphasized the essential role of this new building in supporting young families in the region. As a sign of the good start, master carpenter Claus Nennstiel blessed the new building and wished him all the best for its future use.

Challenges and creative solutions

Architect Volker Dietz also spoke about the challenges that had to be overcome during construction. In particular, setting up a crane near the railway line was a special task. Nevertheless, progress was made with a creative approach and an excellent team of construction workers.

The new crèche will have two floors, with a basement that leads directly into the garden and an upper floor that faces Gutenbergstrasse. An impressive amount of material was used for the construction: around 430 cubic meters of concrete, 45 tons of steel and 1000 linear meters of spruce wood are used mainly on the roof.

  • Kapazität: bis zu 124 Kinder
  • Nutzfläche: 710 Quadratmeter
  • Gesamtkosten: 2,8 Millionen Euro
  • Geplante Gruppen: Container-Krippen-Gruppe, Altbau-Krippen-Gruppe und eine altersübergreifende Gruppe

The head of the “Rainbow” facility, Daniela Lemcke, thanked everyone involved for their participation and underlined the importance of the project for future generations.

An important step for Ronshausen

With the opening of this new facility, Ronshausen has taken a huge step towards family friendliness. The need for such a facility is undeniable, especially in times when young families rely on user-friendly offerings. It is hoped that the crèche will soon also provide a meeting place for the community.

The project is not only a benefit for the community, but also represents an example of innovative construction approaches that serve the future. You can see: Something is happening in Ronshausen and there is a lot to be excited about!
