Environmental musical enthusiastic: Children show their creativity at the Lingg School!
Bad Hersfeld, Deutschland - The Lingg School in Bad Hersfeld experienced a real festival of creativity and environmental awareness last Friday. Fifteen fourth graders performed a specially designed musical with enthusiasm, which conquered the hearts of the spectators in the storm. Parents, relatives and friends filled the room and rewarded the little artists with persistent applause and encore calls, such as Osthessen news reported.
a project that connects
The texts of the musical were designed by the children themselves, put it on paper and revised in the course of the project. They were instructed by experienced lecturers: Ursula Flacke, who left her traces in children's literature, with works such as "The Peppercorns" and scripts for popular TV series, as well as Laura Kotowitz and Stefanie Imhof-Rieger. The latter has previously successfully implemented two projects at the Lingg School. The children showed patience and creativity by working on the musical for a week.
A remarkable partner was the NABU Bad Hersfeld, who supported the environmental project with valuable tips and a book table on topics in environmental education and waste avoidance. This funding came through the "Culture makes strong" program, which the "State Association of Cultural Education Hessen e.V." and the "Federal Ministry of Education and Research" is supported. It turns out how important such initiatives are for school education, especially in the area of the environmental enlightenment.
A new project in Münzenberg
The enthusiasm for environmental education does not stop at the Lingg School. The creative examination of environmental issues is also promoted in Münzenberg. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the child and youth office, Mayor Dr. Isabell Tammer offer a writing workshop entitled "We love this earth". This workshop, which will take place in the DGH Ober-Hörgern from October 14 to 18, 2024, aims to develop another environmental musical. To do this, 14 children between the ages of 8 and 11 can register for this, who will participate in the creation and design of the stage design, the costumes and their own texts. The support from "culture power" and the financing by the OVAG is also secured for this project, as Tanja Praske
Overall, these projects illustrate how valuable creative forms of expression for the awareness of young people through environmental issues. Whether through musicals, writing workshops or art actions - the motivation to actively contribute to change, grows and forms through the voices of children and adolescents.
