Bad Vilbel, Deutschland - The Hessentag 2025 is open and Bad Vilbel shows its best side! On Friday, June 13, 2025, the starting signal for the oldest and largest state festival in Germany, which will take place for the first time this year in Bad Vilbel. At 1:00 p.m. there was a ceremonial opening at the Sparkassen-Wasserburg, where Prime Minister Boris Rhein (CDU) officially heralded the festival together with Mayor Sebastian Wysocki. The charm of the city on the bank of the Nidda is underlined by the idyllic location and the picturesque remains of the Wasserburg, which have been breathing for centuries. Here, in a place that beats the heart of tradition, the first visitors gathered to take part in one of the many events.
Already on the first day, various program items did not give boredom. There was a lot to discover from morning to the evening: the Bundeswehr exhibition opened its doors from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and offered interesting insights for young and old. The opening day was rounded off with a concert by the band "Balu" and the popular FFH comedy night at 8:00 p.m., which made a lot of laughter. For all celebrations, the festival already offers a first taste of the diversity that will still come.

On Saturday, June 14th, it will be musically exciting with a concert by Ski AGGU at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Planet Radio Party at 8:00 p.m. The band's calls and the good mood will also attract many people here. In addition, numerous actions and exhibitions for all ages are being planned throughout the week, so that no one is neglected.
On Sunday June 15th, visitors can expect a special highlight: the appearance of Howard Carpendale, whose tickets are already in demand. But that was the beginning! In the following days there is a varied program on the agenda. The musical sizes that will be on stage include Nina Chuba, Leony and Judas Priest. Traditional elements should not be missing here: The Just White Party from FFH becomes the highlight of the Hessentag on June 21st.
