New meeting point All Castle in Ufhausen inaugurated!

vacationers and locals: In Ufhausen, a new meeting point has opened its gates at the foundations of a historic castle complex. The "All Castle" not only offers space to linger, but also brings a piece of history back to village life. The opening recently took place with great interest in the population, and with everything that goes with it.

The castle, in which the gentlemen from Ufhausen once lived until 1536, was rediscovered in excavation work in cooperation with the Fulda district archeology. The newly designed area now comprises a pavilion, a court linden, an information board, a fountain and cozy seating - all ideal conditions for sociable meetings and events.

A flag was hoisted at the inauguration with a historic seal from 1349, which also underlined the festive framework. A particularly nice moment was the unveiling of a memorial stone with the coat of arms, which was placed on the premises together with a plaque for the anniversary. Among them was even sunk a time capsule, filled with various memorial pieces such as Eurom coins, data on village history, a picture of a UFHäuser child, the home song and an edition of the "Hünfelder Zeitung".

Pastor Markus Günther blessed the new meeting point as a place of the community, which was supported by Mayor Dana Hauke, who praised the strong cohesion and the living association. Of course, the musical accompaniment should not be missing: a newly founded project choir ensured the vocal framework of the celebrations and performed the UFHäuser Heimatlied.

The inauguration of the "All Castle" is also an important step as part of the celebrations for the 1000th anniversary of Ufhausen and Unterufhausen. Already on January 2, 2025, the festival year was opened with over 300 guests in the middle of the village - a highlight was a magnificent fireworks display that amazed everyone present. On this solemn occasion, an anniversary sparkling glass was also designed that takes a special place in the heart of the villagers.

The sense of community and the cohesion of the residents are particularly the focus in this anniversary year. A member of the organization team already announced that the village's 1000-year history is celebrated with various events, including a large festival weekend that takes place from June 13th to 16th, 2025.
