Whitsun tournament in Landenhausen: Local riders inspire with victories!

A successful Whitsun tournament took place this year in Landenhausen, organized by RFV Landenhausen. Between June 12th and 15th, 2025, numerous riders from the region as well as from other federal states fought for the coveted titles as part of the district championships of the Rhön-Vogelsberg District Equestrian Association. The tournament offered a varied program with show jumping horse competitions in classes A, L and M* as well as the exciting Landenhausen Derby.

A real highlight was the Landenhausen Derby, in which the talented Julia Schulz took first place with her horse Decassino. Liv Ipsen from RFV Landenhausen also showed her skills and celebrated several victories in the L class jumping competitions, and she also impressed with good placings in the M* class. For his outstanding ride in the M* class, Elias Hahn received a special honorary award - a well-deserved recognition!

District championships and other successes

The district championships brought exciting competitions. In performance class 5, Mira Hohmann from LFRV Eiterfeld secured the title with 252 points, while Helena Kircher, also from RFV Landenhausen, took third place with 243.5 points. In performance class 4, it was Liv Ipsen who won the championship with 248.5 points, relegating Isabell Roth from RFV Haunetal to third place. Nadine Kircher also showed a brilliant performance, winning in performance class 3 with 252.5 points.

The team ranking clearly went to RFV Landenhausen, who took first place with 23.3 points ahead of RFV Haunetal (20.5 points). The highlight of the third day of the tournament was the exciting S* class jumping competition with 28 participants, which was won by Vanessa Raubenheimer. Whether in the jumping competitions or in dressage - the entire competition was convincing and, despite the changeable weather, there were many enthusiastic spectators who praised the good atmosphere and the excellent ground conditions.

Supporting program and festive evenings

But it wasn't just the sporting highlights that attracted visitors. Various events provided entertainment, including a hearty evening with Bavarian delicacies and the traditional riding ball, which took place on Sunday evening and was very popular. The band “Gute Nacht Marie” ensured a good mood and an exuberant atmosphere. Other attractions included the costume competition in the lead rein class, where Stella Hillenbrand and Junia Mailin Lind emerged as winners.

The event was praised by participants for its excellent honorary awards and cozy atmosphere. The smooth organization and the interesting competitions made the Whitsun tournament an unforgettable experience. The next Pentecost tournament in Landenhausen, which always attracts many equestrian sports enthusiasts, has already raised its first points of criticism and anticipation for a future edition!

As can already be read from the Lauterbacher Anzeiger, we can look forward to more highlights like this and an extensive supporting program. A variety of equestrian events are also planned for the future, such as the important Horse Fairs in Germany, which will further promote the passion for equestrian sport!
