Hünfeld celebrates the Long Night: music, cuisine and the best atmosphere!

On June 27, 2025, Hünfeld celebrated the 19th edition of the popular “Long Night” with a colorful mix of music, cuisine and a lot of shopping. Like that Rhön Canal reported that thousands of visitors flocked to the town hall to properly celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hessentag. The festival was once again organized by City-Marketing Hünfeld, which ensured the best atmosphere with a diverse program.

Culinary delights were also well catered for! The stalls offered a wide range of culinary delights, from juicy burgers and Italian pizza to delicious ice cream specialties. With a particularly high level of activity at cocktail, beer and wine stands, gourmets got their money's worth. The culinary diversity reflects what makes city festivals in Germany so attractive - the coming together of culture, tradition and extraordinary gastronomic trends, such as Thematic chronicle explained.

Music and entertainment on every corner

The musical performances on three stages contributed significantly to the festive atmosphere. On the Sparkasse stage, “Jukebox 5” and the tribute band “Westernhagen Reloaded” rocked with well-known party classics. In front of the VR-Bank stage, “Live without a band” provided atmospheric ballads and hits from the 80s and 90s, while the band “Marigold” thrilled the audience on the Fuldaer Berg stage with their mix of rock, pop, blues and soul. Also new this year was the party area on Anger, where DJ Comic and DJ PlusOne kept the dance floor moving with chart hits and electronic sounds.

Children weren't left out either: a face-painting event at “Konrads City-Kids”, led by Eva Falkenhahn, offered the little guests an additional highlight. The evening became an experience for the entire family. The shops, which were open until 11 p.m., invited visitors to stroll through the city and take advantage of special discounts. Retailers took the opportunity to present their goods in a festive setting.

A feast for all senses

Overall, the Long Night was a successful example of how local events promote exchange between locals and visitors. The variety of food and varied entertainment ensured that all the senses were stimulated. The event is not only a showcase for Hünfeld's cultural highlights, but also contributes to strengthening the regional economy. This city festival is very important in the region and offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy local specialties and creative trends.

With a new edition of the “hifaller Gaalbern”, the festival also had a new merchandise offering that included T-shirts, polos, hoodies and socks with Hünfelder’s trademark. These products were very well received and contributed to identification with the region.

The Long Night in Hünfeld once again impressed with its varied program, which not only created a good atmosphere, but also offered a special kind of taste experience. The organizers can look forward to a complete success and the anticipation for the next event is already huge. The Fulda newspaper highlights that such festivals are crucial in strengthening the sense of community and celebrating regional characteristics.
