Industrial Days in Northern Hesse: Insights into our eventful history!

The Industrial Culture Days are just around the corner in northern Hesse, and from August 14th to 17th, 2025, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the region's industrial history and future up close. Under the motto “mobile”, over 63 locations show more than 120 events that provide a deep insight into the region’s rich heritage. This is reported by HNA.

Those interested can expect particularly exciting events in the Werra-Meißner district. InGroßalmerodefor example, the Glass and Ceramics Museum opens its doors on August 17th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. There is a special tour at 3 p.m. for a maximum of 20 participants - for just 3 euros entry. Here you can get very close to the art of traditional crafts.

In focus of industrial history

This is another highlightLiphard crucible plant, which looks back on an impressive 500-year history. A guided tour will take place on August 15th at 3 p.m., which is aimed at a maximum of 20 participants aged 12 and over. Participation is free, but registration is required. Quality has been put into the craftsmanship here for 16 generations.

For those interested, guided hikes will be offered on August 16th at 1 p.m. and on August 17th at 10 a.m. These last approximately 3 hours and are aimed at a maximum of 30 participants aged 14 and over. You should register here for 5 euros, snacks are available for a small donation. Not only is the production of ammunition discussed, there is also information about the living conditions of the workers at the time and the damage to the environment.
