The 41-year-old driver from Brevörde was driving onto Niederhoner Straße when leaving the Toom parking lot. However, when he had to stop to give way to a crossing pedestrian and cyclist, he overlooked a 49-year-old pedestrian from Eschwege who was on the sidewalk and could not avoid him. The driver's car hit the pedestrian in the knee.

After a short verbal exchange between the two men, the driver continued his journey towards the city train station without leaving his personal details. The pedestrian was slightly injured and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. However, thanks to a quick police search, the driver was identified promptly.
