Asphalt work on the Nordring: full closure from November 3rd in Korbach!
In Korbach, the Nordring along State Road 3076 will be freshened up from Monday, November 3rd. Hessen Mobil has planned a section from house number 3 to the Briloner Landstrasse / Westring / Nordring roundabout in order to noticeably improve the road conditions here. The necessary work will take around three weeks, so drivers will have to be prepared for some changes.
What exactly is coming up? The measures are varied: First, damaged curbs are replaced, and the city of Korbach takes care of replacing the water slides and manhole covers. The EWF also plans to install empty conduits for future cable laying. A novelty will be the new, four centimeter thick surface layer on an area of around 10,000 m². The junctions of the side streets will also be asphalted and their height adjusted, which will further improve traffic safety.
Traffic changes and diversions
During the construction period, this section will be completely closed. The adjacent side streets such as Am Mühlengraben, An der Kuhbach and Ermighäuser Weg thus become dead ends. However, residents can access An der Kuhbach via two parking spaces from Briloner Landstraße.
National traffic will be rerouted via Briloner Landstrasse, the B 251 and Am Ziegelgrund. The relevant signs will be put up in a timely manner to provide all road users with the best possible guidance. In order to ensure that construction work runs smoothly, Hessen Mobil asks all road users to understand the resulting restrictions.
