Vintage car rally in Ziegenhain: Little Red Riding Hood tour delights fans!
Next Sunday, June 16, 2025, the sixth edition of the popular Little Red Riding Hood Classic Tour in Ziegenhain. The parade ground becomes a meeting point for vintage car lovers and fans of nostalgic vehicles. A total of 26 classic cars will take part this year, built between 1949 and 1992.
The event is organized by the automobile and motorsport community (amsg) Schwalmstadt-Frielendorf in the ADAC. The tour consists of two exciting sections: the Knüllgebirgs lignite lake tour to Lake Neuenhainer and the Kellerwald tour back to Paradeplatz. The weather could turn out to be an adventure: a short-term downpour is forecast, followed by bright sunshine.
Participants and challenges
The participants on this vintage car tour don't have it easy. You have to stop between two bars three meters apart and cover a distance of 1.64 km at an average speed of 44 km/h, measured by a light barrier. It is also important to note signs in the correct order on a named section of the route. Who among the participants will master the challenge best?
Among the participants are Klaus and Martina Marscholl from the Lahn-Dill district with their Mercedes 280 SL as well as Tim Kniffler, who is taking part in an MG with a passenger from near Flensburg. The participants also come from different regions, such as Ehringshausen, Kassel and the surrounding area, although only a few registered directly from Schwalm.
A festival for classic car fans
After returning from the tour, there is a great opportunity to talk shop about old treasures and have one or two exciting conversations. A wide variety of stories and experiences about classic cars and the passion associated with them can also be told.
