On Sunday, June 29, 2025, the mixed choir Steina organized an impressive choir concert in the castle church in Ziegenhain. Under the motto "Choirs in the region present themselves", numerous talented choirs appeared from the area and delighted the approximately 200 listeners. According to nh24.de , the event also recorded an exciting musical journey through various genres.
The participating choirs, including the choir of class 6g of the Carl Bantzer School Ziegenhain, the church choir from Christode-mainchwenda and the DSK of the Liedertafel Treysa, offered a varied program. The audience could look forward to A Cappella-Jazz, spiritual songs, rock and pop songs, pop ballads, musicals and folk pieces. And the best? There were hands -on activities with African songs and gospels who loosened up the mood and actively embedded visitors.
a special experience for everyone involved
Under the direction of Annemarie Ferstl, the audience experienced an atmospheric performance, while music teacher Andreas Kater at the piano provided musical accompaniment. In addition, several students appeared as soloists and showed their talent. The concert closed with the old English blessing song "The Blessing of Aaron" and left positive impressions for both the singers and the audience. After the concert, they met with drinks in front of the church and there was a lively exchange between the visitors and the singers.
Don Camillo Chor celebrates 30 years.
In 2025, the Don Camillo Chor celebrates its 30th anniversary in parallel to the activities of the mixed Chor Steina and presents a new program that deals with the heights and depths of life. The focus is on confidence, despair, joy, suffering, happiness and misfortune. The performances are carried out in A-cappella arrangements and are presented in several concerts. As reported by doncamillo-chor.de , the first concerts are already planned for March and April, including an appearance on March 29 in March 30th in Germering.A big highlight will be the choir concert with three Munich choirs, including the Don Camillo Choir. This concert will take place on November 30, 2025 in the technical center in Munich. Tickets for all events are already available and the choirs are looking forward to numerous visitors.
