A complete success: the puppet theater festival draws crowds to Morschen
The 12th puppet theater festival “Blickfang” took place at the Haydau Monastery near Morschen on Thursday and left little to be desired. The premiere was more than sold out; it ensured a full house and an unforgettable atmosphere. The festival was organized by artistic director Maren Matthes together with artistic director Kerstin Röhn, while project manager Katharina Dunkel herself had to work on the emergency standing places for the first event in order to cope with the rush of visitors reports the HNA.
With a colorful program, the festival not only attracts theater lovers, but also offers many hands-on activities and an exciting range of games, especially for the youngest audience members. The Berlin puppet theater “Die Artisanen” opened the festival with a modern reinterpretation of “The Three Little Pigs”. Inga Schmidt and Stefan Spitzer alternated between roles and charmingly used various materials, from straw to wood to brick, as character traits. Around 80 audience members, including many children, enthusiastically interacted with the performance carries out the WLZ.
