professional orientation for all ages

An important aspect of professional orientation takes place early on. At the end of their school days, many students ask themselves the question of their professional path. In order to support this process, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has launched the Education Chains initiative, which has been accompanying young people since 2010 when they started their professional life. Various programs are offered here that focus on the talents and interests of the young people. An example of this are the potential analyzes that are already carried out in the 7th grade, and practice -oriented career orientation days in the 8th grade.

The importance of professional information centers (BIZ) should also not be underestimated. These can be found throughout Germany and represent a valuable resource for young people. They not only offer useful tests and information on career choice, but also special computer workstations for job search, support for the application and specialists that are available for questions. As reports ancly agency.de, young people can call up a lot of information about professions, training offers and schools in the region.

Various offers for career orientation

The BOZ, supported by various initiatives, counteracts the shortage of skilled workers and offers a wide range of programs that are aimed at young people. In addition to the offers already mentioned, there are numerous other, such as the BMBF-funded “Veronika Up!” Project, which gives an insight into MINT and social professions, or the initiative Klichen-Frei, the gender clichés in the career choice. These different offers are aimed at a wide audience and show how diverse and accessible the way to the professional world can be.

With these initiatives and events such as the open house in the BOZ, it becomes clear that a lot of attention is paid to the topic of professional orientation. The aim is to offer young people stable perspectives and to support them in the best possible way in finding their job. This is not only an opportunity for the young people themselves, but also for the companies in the region who can win new talents for their industry.
