Hessentag 2025: Ena and Matthias open the festival with great joy!

Hessentag has begun and Bad Vilbel will be the center of the action for the next ten days! Amid the anticipation and festive mood, the Hessentag couple 2025 was officially presented today. Ena Kaufmann and Matthias Kallmeyer were looking forward to this special day, which opens at 1 p.m. in the historic moated castle in Bad Vilbel. Together with Prime Minister Boris Rhein and the city's mayor, Sebastian Wysocki, they will welcome the 62nd state festival fnp.de reported.

Ena describes the day as “a great honor” and a “unique experience”. Both of them were looking forward to this day five years ago, because Matthias was scheduled to be a Hessentag man at the time, but was unable to take part due to the corona pandemic. Now they want to fill the festival building with joy and enthusiasm. They are particularly looking forward to honoring the history of Hessentag and the tireless efforts of over 500 volunteers.

Helpers wanted!

The commitment of volunteers is invaluable for Hessentag. How hessentag2025.de emphasizes, committed helpers from Bad Vilbel and the surrounding area are still being sought. The festival program promises a colorful mix of several hundred events, and the city calls on everyone to actively participate. The minimum age for the helpers is 18 years and they should be available for at least three assignments.

The possible uses are diverse: from setting up and dismantling events, to giving instructions during the parade, to looking after guests of honor and visitors in need of support. Driving services and support at the action stages are also in demand, so there really is something for everyone! As a thank you, you will receive free tickets for a paid event, a stylish helper shirt and an invitation to the big helper party after the festival.

Ena and Matthias are full of anticipation and want the festival to be a peaceful and joyful event. Both of them prepared well for the heat of the holidays - Ena even brought special care products with her! A particularly touching event is coming up on June 15th: the swearing in of police officers in the Stadtwerke Arena, a moment that will certainly cause a lot of emotion.
