Baunatal celebrates: 4-0 home win thanks to Akman's brace!
The more than 500 spectators in the Baunatal stadium were treated to real football enjoyment when KSV Baunatal defeated Türk Gücü Friedberg 4-0 in the Hessen Football League last Saturday. It was already the fourth win in the fourth home game of the season, and the team under coach Tobias Nebe presented itself at its best.
Particularly noteworthy is Yasin Akman, who contributed significantly to the win with two goals. He redeemed the home crowd in the 18th minute when he scored 1-0 after a curious assist from Rami Zouaoui. Just two minutes later, it was Akman again who scored to make it 2-0 after a nice pass from Patrick Krengel. The 24-year-old winger, who has been with the team since July 1, 2025, is in top form this season and is now one of the key players for the Baunatal team. According to his player profile on Transfermarkt, he can be used both as a left winger and as a hanging striker or right winger.
Helpful saves and a safe win
Although Baunatal was dominant in the first half, the defense around goalkeeper Lukas Berger had its hands full. He saved the team several times with strong saves, including a dangerous shot from Toni Reljic in the 64th minute, and cleared the ball from Lambros Kamarianakis, who was ready to shoot. “Without him we would have had difficulties,” stated coach Nebe.
In the 38th minute, Patrick Krengel made it 3-0 by confidently converting a penalty kick. Zouaoui had been fouled in the penalty area and the home team appeared to be on the road to victory. In the final phase of the match, Serkan Karakoc made everything clear in stoppage time when he made it 4-0 with a shot that landed on the inside of the post.
A respectful opponent
Visiting coach Maik Vetter congratulated Baunatal on a “highly deserved victory”. Despite the clear defeat, Türk Gücü Friedberg's players tried to set an offensive tone. But there was no way through against Berger's compact defense and strong saves.
On Wednesday the Baunatal team had another cup game, which, according to coach Nebe, led to a certain level of exhaustion. Nevertheless, his team showed the necessary attitude and did not let the challenges bother them. The KSV seems to have a good hand in the current season, and the fans can be excited to see what the next games will bring.
With this victory, Baunatal remains on the wave of success and will certainly do everything in its power to continue the series in the coming matches. Let's get ready for more exciting games because something big definitely seems to be coming here.
