A festive highlight in the Wetterau calendar is approaching: The 73rd Friedberg Autumn Market will take place on the Seewiese from September 19th to 23rd, 2025. With numerous stands and rides, the popular festival, which is also considered one of the largest markets in the Frankfurt RheinMain area, promises an unforgettable experience for young and old. We are already working hard on preparations.

Klaus Weingärtner, an experienced innkeeper, will manage the festival tent this year. The signing of the contract took place symbolically on the festival grounds. His experience goes back to successful events such as the Düdelsheim market and the Gladenbach cherry market. At a time when it is becoming increasingly difficult to find suitable marquee hosts, Weingärtner brings a breath of fresh air and a lot of commitment. He not only takes over the organization, but also takes care of the catering in the festival tent, supported by Daniel Jung from the Bitburger Braugruppe, who accompanied the search for a new landlord (FNP).

Program and attractions

The city of Friedberg has come up with a lot of ideas to inspire its citizens and guests. Mayor Kjetil Dahlhaus emphasizes the importance of the participation of all citizens in order to make the market a real success. Numerous activities are planned, including a fair and junk market, musical performances in the festival tent and an overwhelming fireworks display as the crowning glory. The program offers a lot of variety with children's activities such as pony rides and exciting animal shows. Your little ones can even let rabbits jump over hurdles and marvel at historic tractors (RheinMain4Family).

The varied program is free and offers something for everyone. The large selection of stands, rides and culinary offerings leaves nothing to be desired. In addition, the traditional cannon shooting of the 1st Böllerverein Wetterau 1983 e.V. will take place again this year to open the autumn market in a befitting manner.
