Young athlete takes over management of the rehabilitation clinic in Bad Saulgau!

In Bad Saulgau, where health care is becoming increasingly important, there is a remarkable personnel change: Kevin Napravnik, who previously worked as Roland Aigner's deputy, will act as the new clinic director of the Waldburg-Zeil-Klinik from July 2024. Napravnik, who lives in Ertingen with his wife and their eight-month-old son, has had an exciting journey that has taken him from the ice hockey fields of Bad Nauheim to health management.

The 30-year-old Napravnik, who once played for EC Nauheim and the Frankfurter Löwen, began his ice hockey career at the age of three. After graduating from high school in 2015, he decided to do a dual course of study at the German University for Prevention and Health Management in Frankfurt. During his studies he gained practical experience in various fitness studios, where he eventually took over management of several branches.

A change to new shores

After his time in the fitness industry, Napravnik was employed as a health manager and later as “Medical Operations Manager” at the renowned fasting clinic “Lanserhof” on Sylt until the summer of 2024. He took on this challenge when the couple decided to change their place of residence due to the difficult health care on the island of Sylt. Through a headhunter, he quickly found a new place in the rehabilitation clinic in Bad Saulgau, where he appreciates the support of his predecessor Aigner.

His goal in the new position will be to promote individual rehabilitation and health prevention. Because, as an international report emphasizes, health promotion and rehabilitation is particularly important given the increase in chronic diseases and the aging population in Germany. Rehabilitation facilities also offer preventive measures, which fits perfectly with Napravnik's philosophy of individual care.

Minister's visit to the clinic

A vivid example of the positive development in the Waldburg-Zeil Clinic is the visit by Manne Lucha, Minister for Social Affairs, Health and Integration. Due to painful osteoarthritis, he had to have a double knee operation during his parliamentary summer break and began his rehabilitation in the clinic. Lucha praised the team for their competence and empathy - qualities that Napravnik also emphasizes as a guide for his future work.

“The mix of mentality, professionalism and organization makes our clinic unique,” said the minister, who even sent the employees a personal letter of thanks. This is not only an award for the clinic, but also a positive signal for the patient community.

Personally, Napravnik, who has never had to use a rehabilitation clinic himself but knows the challenges of the sport, has a good relationship with the clinic's head doctor, who is also a passionate ice hockey fan. “I’m looking forward to the new role and to finding solutions together for the challenges we have to overcome in rehabilitation and health promotion,” says Napravnik.

What does the future hold for Kevin Napravnik? With a clear focus on teamwork and a solution-oriented approach, he should be prepared to lead the clinic into a prosperous future.
