Experience inclusion: Bad Nauheim celebrates successful day of action!

Bad Nauheim, Deutschland - Today, on July 10, 2025, there was an impressive day of action in Bad Nauheim, which focused on the topic of inclusion. At the vocational schools at the Gradierwerk, the motto "Experience instead of just talking about it" was promoted for a better understanding of inclusion. Students led various stations that offered the guests a range of experiences to experience what it means to live with restrictions. A large sensory course and a movement course in the age of the age were offered to reduce fear of contact and to promote cooperation.

An important point of the day was the donation handover: the students proudly presented 300 euros to the para swimming group of the swimming club Bad Nauheim. This money comes from a cake sale organized during the project day and further donations from guests. Anke Bunke, the head of the Para swimming group, accepted the donation and was happy about the support. The group offers swimming training for impaired children, adolescents and adults in the US wave pool three times a week and has participants aged 8 to 33, regardless of their level of performance.

Inclusion experience up close

Spent teacher Eva Sauer particularly emphasized the importance of such events that help to make inclusion tangible. Headmaster Andreas Stolz and Diana Friedrich from the city of Bad Nauheim emphasized the high quality of the offers. The numerous visitors returned home with deeper awareness of participation and diversity. This type of commitment is not only a sign of the lived inclusion in Bad Nauheim, but also a step in the right direction for everyone who is committed to respectful coexistence.

In another context, the promotion of inclusion and participation is also central to the upcoming international German championships in Para swimming (IDM) 2025, which take place in the swimming and jumping hall in the European Sportpark in Berlin from June 19 to 22. The event aims to promote inclusion and respect in sports and is supported by numerous participants, including the contact foundation and trainersuchportal.de. Special projects such as "Community in Sport" are committed to social cohesion through sport and hope for donations for further support.

challenges and possibilities

Despite all the positive developments, the challenge for inclusion in sports does not fail to materialize. As an analysis of Aktion Mensch shows, the participation of people with disabilities in organized sport is still low. According to the 2018 DOSB sports development report, the proportion that works inclusive was only 35%. In addition, the participation of people with disabilities through structural barriers, lack of access and underrepresentation in sport are at risk. District money of around 31 billion euros is required to maintain and creation barrier -free sports facilities.

Together with initiatives such as the action day in Bad Nauheim and events such as the IDM 2025, inclusion can not only be promoted, but also integrated into the reality of life. Every contribution, be it through donations or voluntary commitment, helps to reduce barriers and enable cooperation that is accessible to everyone.

For everyone who is interested in supporting the IDM 2025, there is the possibility to do donations of 10, 50 or even 500 euros in order to strengthen the important work in the field of inclusion. Further information can be found on the platforms of trainersuchportal.de and the contact foundation.
