Hanau City Run: Strong together against violence against women on September 19th!

The 24th city run will be held in the city of Hanau on Friday, September 19, 2025, this time under the motto “Show strength – against violence against women”. This charity event takes place in the picturesque setting of Hanau's city center and has its sights firmly set on supporting the women's shelters in Hanau and Waechtersbach. How Press service reported, the route runs over six kilometers, with participants setting off from the market square at 5 p.m.

The city run not only serves as a sporting activity, but also for a very important social cause: all participation fees go directly to the women's shelters in the Main-Kinzig district. At the last event, 21,000 euros were collected. The need for support remains high because violence against women is a major problem in society that cannot be ignored. The organizers offer all sports enthusiasts, company sports groups and hobby runners an excellent opportunity to support a good cause.

Invitation to participate

The registration option starts on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 on the website hanauer-stadtlauf.de. You can register until midnight on September 14, 2025. If the participant limit of 3,500 has not been reached, registration is also possible on site on the day of the run. For those unable to attend, there is an opportunity to make donations via the website. This also supports the women's shelters affected.

The patrons of this important event are Mayor Claus Kaminsky and District Administrator Thorsten Stolz, who support the organization together with local sponsors such as Umicore AG Co. KG, which contributes 10,000 euros to the success of the event. Also new this year is the Am Steinheimer Tor car dealership and the Hanau City Council for Foreigners, who are committed to the well-being of the community. Sponsors such as Broadband Main-Kinzig GmbH, Evonik Industries AG and Gasbedarf Main-Kinzig GmbH show that many people are rallying behind this initiative.
