On the night of Monday to Tuesday, the city of Hanau was the scene of a break-in that caused a stir. At 1:30 a.m. an unknown perpetrator forced his way through the front door of a kiosk on Hospitalstrasse. Loud gnz.de The amount of damage is estimated at around 300 euros, but it is unclear whether the perpetrator also made some loot. The police have published a description of the perpetrator: He is believed to be between 20 and 30 years old and was dressed in a black jacket with a hood, dark trousers and light-colored shoes.
Witnesses who have observed something or who can provide information are asked to contact the criminal police immediately on 06181/100-123. The investigators can use every bit of information to track down the perpetrator.
Another break-in in Hanau
But this is not the only incident that concerns the police in Hanau. On August 23, 2025, a break-in took place in a single-family home on Schlossstrasse. The Hanau public prosecutor's office and the criminal police are currently looking for the perpetrators, who entered the building around 11 p.m. after breaking open a ground floor window. Interestingly, a sleeping 40-year-old resident upstairs was woken up by the noise of the burglars. They immediately fled.
Although extensive investigations were carried out, the perpetrators have not yet been identified. The police are therefore asking the public for help and have published pictures of the suspects.
