Triathlon talents shine at the HTV Cup at Sickenhöfer See!

On Sunday, June 15, 2025, the young talents of SV Gelnhausen had their big appearance at the HTV Cup in Babenhausen. At the picturesque Sickenhöfer See, the athletes measured themselves in exciting competitions that are part of the Hessian racing series for students and youth. Three young athletes started: Liko Martin, Mattis Lik and Fynn-Luca Neuser, and they were able to achieve impressive results.

Liko Martin, who was born in 2014, competed in the age group of students B. He completed 200 meters in open water, followed by 5 kilometers of cycling and a 1 km long running route. In the end, Liko Martin crossed the finish line after 23: 33.24 minutes and thus secured the excellent 2nd place.

In the age group of students A, which also include Mattis Lik and Fynn-Luca Neuser (born 2013), it was also sporty. Here the athletes had to swim 400 meters, 10 kilometers cycling and 2.5 kilometers. Mattis Lik was the fastest Gelnhausen athlete in this class with a total time of 44: 40.56 minutes and took the 4th place. Fynn-Luca Neuser followed him with a great 46: 12.17 minutes and thus secured the 6th place. All three were very satisfied after the competition and are already looking forward to further training sessions to increase their services.

The next opportunity for the young triathletes to prove their skills on July 6, 2026 is available as part of the HTV Cup in Bottendorf.
