In Bad Orb, the new ALEA SCHOOL is celebrated as the “Home of the Foxes”. This year's presentation of the school mascot brings a breath of fresh air to the region and shows once again how closely education and creativity are linked. The smart foxes Oak and Amber, the school's official mascots, were designed by former Disney illustrator Ken Duncan, known for his work on timeless classics such as “Tarzan” and “The Lion King”. These two clever foxes are intended to embody the values ​​of courage, inventiveness and curiosity, which are the central qualities that ALEA students strive for.

“We want to use these figures to create a connection with the students, which serve as identification figures for them,” says Henning Strauss, the school authority. The choice of the fox as heraldic animal is not accidental; his cleverness and curiosity reflect the learning attitude that ALEA SCHOOL aims to promote. In addition, the Spessart Forest, in which the school is located, is not only part of the beautiful region, but also a source of inspiration that inspired the Brothers Grimm to write many fairy tales, which in turn had an influence on Disney works.

Smart foxes come to life

The clever foxes Oak and Amber are not only supposed to inspire the students, but also appear in a specially produced radio play series. Lina Larissa Strahl, known as the voice of Bibi Blocksberg and Moana, will take on the role of Amber. The radio plays are produced by the Hamburg Studio Hastings with their own music composition. The first episode entitled “The Secret of the Water Dragon” will soon be available on Spotify, which increases the anticipation for the new educational provider.

With the first two cohorts starting school in late summer 2025, ALEA SCHOOL is expecting an exciting development. In order to offer future students optimal support, an educational partnership with the Senckenberg Society for Natural Research was also announced. The inauguration ceremony is coming up

The anticipation for the start of ALEA SCHOOL is growing and an inauguration ceremony for the temporary campus on Lindenallee is planned for the beginning of July.
