Frankfurt bakery Huck uses AI to develop the new Chat bread in Bad Homburg - an innovative mix of tradition and future.

Frankfurt's Huck Bakery: The first AI bread is conquering the city!
The Frankfurt bakery Huck, which has been a traditional business since 1936 and is now run by the third generation, has come up with something very special: a bread that was developed in collaboration with artificial intelligence (AI). The owner Tanja Huck wanted to explore the possibilities of the digital world in the craft sector and attended further training at the Koerting Institute in Bad Homburg. This is where the idea of combining traditional baking art with modern technologies arose. fr.de reports that Tanja Huck and her team developed an innovative spelled miso sesame bread within just twelve days.
TheChat bread, as the new product is called, combines German and Japanese baking traditions. An AI-powered chatbot analyzed over 200 international bread recipes and provided new ideas for ingredients and preparation. In addition to the selection of ingredients, which also include rice syrup, the bread is made without additives and impresses with its natural sweetness. Master baker Ronny was surprised by the unconventional ingredient list, which includes miso and sea salt instead of regular salt.
A future-oriented project
The combination of tradition and technology is not only visible when baking. Along with the new bread, the bakery has also launched an informative website that features a virtual avatar of Tanja Huck. This language-skilled virtual assistant speaks several languages and is intended to contribute particularly to better communication with the approximately 250 employees who come from different countries. New creations of chat bread are also being considered, including versions with ingredients from France or Scandinavia. genussmagazin-frankfurt.de
The use of AI in the trades has numerous advantages: efficiency is increased, tasks in production can be optimized and the workload reduced. However, there are also challenges, such as the need to train employees and making full use of digital possibilities in the company. kibizhub.de
The new bread in detail
The chat bread is available in all Huck branches at a price of 4.90 euros for 500 grams. In the future, a baking mix for the bread will also be offered online, which will make it possible to bake the innovative product fresh outside of the branches. A small portion of the proceeds will also flow into educational projects that train children in the basics of media and artificial intelligence.
With its pioneering project, the Huck bakery shows how digitalization can change crafts and that tradition and innovation can go hand in hand. Chat bread is not just a product, but is an example of the future of the bakery trade.
