interested? I wouldn't be surprised! The conference begins at 8:30 a.m. with the registration and a warm welcome. After the greetings from Professores like Dr. Maren Harnack and Dr. Marcus Gwechenberger is filled with various lectures and workshops that offer a broad overview of the requirements for future apartments.
variety of topics and formats
The event will deal with a number of relevant topics, such as the needs of people with different restrictions. Representatives of the Frankfurt Disabled Working Group (FBAG) also have their say. It will not only be about theoretical classification of the universal design, but also about practical approaches, as the Glockenspitz residential area in Krefeld shows as a best practice example. These approaches should help to realize barrier -free living for everyone.
concerns of many interested parties often refer to the requirements that the barrier -free housing is met. According to the DIN standard 18040-2, there are clear guidelines that have to be observed to create living space that can actually be used without any special difficulties. But despite positive developments, the need for barrier-free and senior-in-which residential space is enormous. It is estimated that there are only 0.5 million apartments in Germany in Germany, while the need is estimated at around 2.5 million. This discrepancy shows how urgently solutions need to be found.
Invitation to active participation
The conference also offers the opportunity to actively discuss. In workshops, so -called WorldCafés, participants can bring in their ideas and suggestions in order to develop innovative concepts for housing. Regardless of whether it is about mobility, visual, auditory or cognitive restrictions, all perspectives are required. Not only is a day full of inspiration and teaching, but also the opportunity to promote the exchange between different actors and to steer progress onto the street.
