Water fun on Luisenplatz: The new Playfountain is here!

Luisenplatz, 65185 Wiesbaden, Deutschland - in Wiesbaden the time has come: The mobile water playground Playfountain has opened its doors again and ensures a fresh wind and refreshment in the city center. From July 3 to August 17th, Luisenplatz is all about play, fun and movement. Mayor Christiane Hinninger praises the project and emphasizes that the Playfountain is an air castle for all age groups. It not only improves the quality of stay, but also actively contributes to climate adjustment in the city. With over 15,000 visitors last year, including many families and groups, the return was anything but a jump into the cold water.

This year's edition comes with new amenities. The offer not only includes the popular water features with 1,024 electronically controlled nozzles that spray fountains up to four meters, but also numerous improvements. This means that guests can look forward to large parasols, comfortable deck chairs and a toilet car. Drinks are also available - at cost price. These measures are a direct reaction to the feedback from visitors from the previous year and show that the city has a good knack when it comes to steadily optimizing the offers.

a highlight of summer time

On Thursday, July 31, the Playfountain becomes the setting of a special event: a free summer concert with Sabine Gramenz and Malte Kühn promises an unforgettable experience in water and lighting effects. The performance is part of the series of events "Wiesbaden reads" and starts at 7.30 p.m. Such events not only contribute to the revival of the city center, but also set a sign for the community's community.

The Playfountain will be open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on weekends from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. All activities are free of charge, which enables everyone to enjoy a day full of joy and refreshment without high admission prices.

The Playfountain is not just a water playground - it also stands for a larger trend in the cities: water features are seen as important elements in the city climate. These offer a welcome cooling during hot days and help to make the urban space more lively. According to [Playground-landscape.com] (https://playground-landscape.com/de/article/2686-wasserspielplaetzeplaetzeplima and- Mehr-wasserpielplaetzeplaetze------------zur-Klimaanktung.html), the planning of such places is crucial for the heat adaptation in cities. Here it becomes visible how important it is to integrate water in public space - not only for entertainment, but also for promoting local life and social interactions.

The sustainable design of the water feature is also certain: a modern water treatment system ensures that the water is constantly cleaned and kept in drinking water quality. With a power consumption of only 10 kilowatts per hour, the Playfountain can be considered environmentally friendly and at the same time brings a piece of joy to the city. Funded by the federal program "Sustainable Centers and Centers", this project is a prime example of successful urban development.

So make your way to Luisenplatz and enjoy the lively offers of the Playfountain - it's worth it! Summer is there, and with it the opportunity to spend carefree hours.
