The citizens of Hattersheim have had to digest a real shock in the last few days. Over the past week, there have been increasing reports of brazen thefts that are affecting the city's sense of security. Between Friday evening and Saturday morning, two speedometers were stolen from white Mercedes Sprinters. The police have already started investigations and are hoping for information from the public. However, the headlines in the Main-Taunus district are not only shaped by the speedometers. There was also a brazen theft in Eschborn. Between Thursday and Friday, unknown perpetrators siphoned around 100 liters of diesel from a yellow construction machine on a construction site in Fasanenweg. The tank was opened without the knowledge of the construction site personnel. In this case too, the police are looking for possible witnesses. The repeated incidents show that thefts are seriously commonplace in the region.
