Discover creative talents: showcase at the Dieburg media campus!
Something exciting is happening in Dieburg: the media campus of Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (h_da) will open its doors to the general public on July 17th and 18th, 2025. At the public exhibition, the university shows what its students have developed in the last semester. From 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., everyone interested is invited to discover the creative works from 13 different study programs with free admission. [idw-online] reports that the topics are extremely diverse and include cultural identity, virtual living spaces, green journalism and human-machine interaction.
Visitors can expect particularly noteworthy program items. For example, as part of the project **Rezent / Living (Field Recording Elective)**, the sound landscape of the Messel pit is explored, resulting in a fascinating sound installation. The animated film **Margoum – Story of Women** about the Tunisian director Faten Bouderbala will also be shown. It combines tradition and modernity and will certainly amaze you.
Creative and interactive
Another highlight is Sophia Halmen's final thesis: **No Phobia** includes five songs that address adolescence and fears. She is supported by the dancer Annika Schreiber, which makes the whole thing even more gripping. For those interested in technology, there is the *Fulldome Cinema*, where impressive 360° films are presented in a portable dome cinema from the International Media Cultural Work course.
The crowning finale is the **ALive Festival**, a final event with interactive shows and live sets, organized by students of the Expanded Media master's degree program. In addition to these program items, there is an entertaining supporting program with live music, films, reports and even testable video games.
A place for innovative minds
With over 14,500 students, Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest German universities of applied sciences. She places particular emphasis on MINT, business and media. Sustainability and digitalization are also very popular, from which the broad degree programs benefit. The media campus not only provides students with the necessary knowledge, but also the practical skills that are in demand in the modern media landscape. [faq.mediencampus] emphasizes that students are well prepared through practical projects and numerous contacts with the media and digital industry.
The showcase is an excellent opportunity to get to know the innovative minds of tomorrow and take a look into the world of media production. Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences invites everyone interested to become part of this unique experience.
