Closure at the Rüsselsheimer triangle: diversions and new AI help!
Once again, drivers in the Rüsselsheim area say: Patience is required! Autobahn GmbH has announced that the entrance from the A60 from Mainz to the A67 in the direction of Darmstadt will be closed from Saturday, December 6th, 0:00 a.m. until Monday morning, December 8th, 05:00 a.m. This measure is necessary in order to replace the old road surface with a new asphalt road, as stated in a statement. In doing so, those responsible are pursuing the goal of improving traffic flow in the long term. During the construction work, the driveway coming from Mainz will be affected and will result in a diversion.
For the diversion, it is recommended to drive via the Rüsselsheimer triangle in the direction of Frankfurt and then take the A67 to the Rüsselsheim-Ost junction. You can turn around there to get back onto the A67 towards Darmstadt. The construction work is divided into two sections so that traffic flow on the A67 can be at least partially maintained. Autobahn GmbH asks road users to drive carefully on the diversion routes and to understand the inevitable traffic disruptions during the work. This is described by Autobahn GmbH in a detailed traffic bulletin published in the December 5th edition.
Technological progress in the Bergstrasse district
Parallel to the structural changes, a new digital project is underway in the Bergstrasse district: an artificial intelligence-supported chatbot is being tested in the region. Citizens can use the online site around the clock to obtain information on various topics, from the job center to protection in heavy rain to car re-registration. This could be a welcome support for residents who often rely on quick answers.
The chatbot is an exciting development, but in everyday life traffic is the main focus of attention. Anyone traveling in the region this weekend should prepare for possible delays and plan a different schedule. Information about the current traffic situation and diversions is still available on autobahn.de.
In this context, the exciting football game should also be mentioned: Darmstadt 98 meets Karlsruher SC in the second Bundesliga. This game could be a highlight of the weekend for local sports enthusiasts.
So when you're traveling along the Rüsselsheimer triangle, remember: safety comes first! Follow the detour instructions and hopefully enjoy an exciting football game!
