Animal show inspires at 253. Premium market - Hurray, Miss Vogelsberg!

Lauterbach, Deutschland - The mood was perfect when on June 21, 2025 the 253rd Lauterbach premium market in Vogelsbergkreis opened its gates. This agricultural performance show has long since established itself as the largest folk festival in the Region. Mayor Rainer-Hans Vollmöller underlined the special importance of this event for the identity of Hessian agriculture and emphasized that the animal show is an attractive offer for the whole family. The event not only attracts numerous visitors, but also political representatives, including members of the state parliament and the district administrator from Oberhavel. The animal show and its highlights

The animal show was very positive despite the parallel Hessentag. The satisfaction of the dealers and visitors was high. A particularly big attraction was the estimation bull yo-yo, a powerful animal that weighed 1,197 kilograms. Many visitors tried to estimate the weight, including the happy winners Anita Saller and Thomas Gromes, who met the weight estimate.

Another highlight was the crowning glory of Kuh Irene to the "Miss Vogelsberg". This cow from Paul Wies in Ober-Moos has already given birth to five calves and was a real crowd favorite. The beer majesties of the Lauterbach brewery supported the brilliant award ceremony and awarded the festival additional spice.

Reiner Mänll, the chief organizer of the show, thanked everyone involved who contributed to the successful implementation of the event. A big thank you also went to the judges who performed their task with a lot of commitment and expertise. Among them was Rüdiger Rausch, who worked as a judge for the 25th time this year. District Administrator Dr. Jens Mischak did not miss the opportunity to praise the event and the commitment of the breeders and also turned to the numerous pastors who gave the animal show a festive setting.
