Leo celebrates: Children's festival in Alsfeld promises a lot of fun!

What a festive rush in Alsfeld! Last weekend the second edition of the popular children's festival "Leo celebrates" took place, which came up with a great variety of programs. As early as 2024, the festival attracted around 30,000 visitors at its premiere, and this year the young and old families did not miss the spectacle. The Osthessen news reports that the Toggo Tour was the only one in Hesse in Alsfeld and the festival with stars like Paw Patrol and Spongebob was represented enchanted.

A diverse program was on the plan, which ranged from free playing and tinkering to climbing and dancing to romp. The event area was expanded to the area around the town hall by the participation of Toggo, a popular children's television format. The rush was enormous - many visitors stood in the heat to get autographs and photos of their favorite characters.

The FFH campaign stage was also a hit, played by Ikke Hüpfburg and Micky Sause. The numerous attractions included a BobbyCar racetrack, a craftsman mile, Leos Bauernhof, XXL bouncy castles, a water construction site and even a go-kart course. The Steiger family from Heidelberg enthusiastically tells how they traveled because of the Toggo stars to collect autographs. Children like Lukas Schuch from Pohlheim also showed interest in registering for the Alsfeld Show & Brass Band, although he hesitated when registering.

And that's not all! From June 28th to 29th, festival goers also had the opportunity to take part in a competition of the city of Alsfeld. If you wanted to be there, you just had to fully stamp and hand in your passport in the tourist center. Participation was free of charge for all natural persons with residence in Germany and made the festival another highlight for the families. A look into the future

On Sunday, visitors were able to enjoy the second part of the festival again and at the same time look forward to the upcoming edition in 2026. The organizers are confident that the "Leo will celebrate" the "Leo celebration" next year will be an attraction for families from the region and beyond.
