Art from Wülfrath: Miniatur-Rathaus inspires in Alsfeld!
What happens in the heart of Alsfeld is truly an eye -catcher. Patrick Kosog, a creative head from Wülfrath in North Rhine-Westphalia, has created a fascinating miniature model of the Alsfeld town hall on a scale of 1:40. The artist never saw the original building - he draws his inspiration out of detailed research and old photos. The model that the town hall shows as it looked in the 19th century will be made accessible to the public this weekend. This reports Oberhessen Live.
Kosog's artistic career began in childhood: he started painting and recreating buildings early on. It is all the more remarkable that his passion has now led him to this complex project of the Alsfeld town hall. He has currently invested around 600 hours in the replica, whereby he expects material costs of an estimated 800 to 1,000 euros. Excellent techniques, including 3D paintings and wooden buildings, can be found in his work, which specializes in buildings and landscapes. This describes [Osthessen News] (https://osthessen-news.de/n11754647/hobbykuenstler-patrick-kosog-baut-dailreiches-modell- des-sfelder-rathauses.html) detailed.
a masterpiece of the detailed area
The impressive model measures 40 x 44 x 76 cm and contains many small details: from tiny pieces of furniture to books to small figures. Kosog used old inventory plans and photos, including from the TU Berlin, to enable a detailed replica of the town hall. Care was also spent on the construction of the roof, which consists of around 5,000 homemade roof tiles made of Balsa wood. Finally, his devotion to the detailed fidelity makes the model appear alive.
For visitors there will be the opportunity to visit the finished work of art over the next two weekends. As part of open city tours, which take place on Saturdays at 11 a.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m., the model can be admired in the town hall. In addition, town hall tours are scheduled for both days at 3 p.m., the costs of which are four euros per person. After the first month's experience, the model will be exhibited in a barrier -free place from July.
Kosog's artistic journey
With the Alsfeld town hall, Kosog has already created its seventh model; Under his previous works there are also large construction projects such as Cologne Cathedral and St. Peter's Basilica. It is particularly worth mentioning that the replica of the Cologne cathedral consisted of around 250,000 clamping modules and took an elevated eight years. With the Alsfeld town hall, he is planning further exhibitions because he has already shown his works in Wülfrath in the past. Information about his work can be found on his homepage patrickkosog.de
at a time when the love of local architecture and history is very popular, Patrick Kosog's project is not only a creative project, but also a wonderful opportunity to rediscover the legacy and architecture of Alsfeld. The exhibitions are more than just a feast for the eyes - they also bring history to life and strengthen the sense of community in the region.
