Last construction work on the K 73 in Bebra-Asmushausen started!

Bebra-Asmushausen, Deutschland - Construction work on the K 73 in Bebra-Asmushausen: Last section begins

in Bebra-Asmushausen it will jerk and roll in the coming months! The construction work on K 73 started on July 1, 2025 and are now facing the last section. In cooperation with Hessen Mobil, the city of Bebra and other partners, the district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg started this extensive expansion, which was launched in May 2023. As Osthessen News have already been successfully completed by the three planned construction phases.

An important step for traffic safety

The last construction phase extends from Raiffeisenstraße to the junction to Braunhausen and is expected to be completed by the end of November 2025. The main goal? The significant improvement in traffic safety, especially for pedestrians. The road is reduced to a width of 5.50 meters and a 1.50 meter wide sidewalk is created. This not only increases the comfort for pedestrians, but also the protection of the linden trees in the sidewalk area by installing root bridges.

diversions and closures

Such a project is of course not without impact on traffic. During the full blocking of the K 73, a detour via the B 27 to Cornberg and further via Solz, Imshausen and Gilfershausen will be set up. For residents, access to their properties remains possible except for a few interruptions. Car drivers should be careful at the "Am Wartheberg" driveway, which is completely blocked during the construction work. In order to facilitate access to the residents, emergency services and the fire brigade, a temporary make -up access is created.

The reason for this comprehensive work is great damage to the street and the adjoining facilities that urgently need to be remedied. The renewal of sewage, water, sewer and power lines as well as the house connections is also part of the program to modernize the infrastructure and bring it up to date.

a joint project

This major project is supported as a joint measure by various institutions, including the city of Bebra, Stadtwerke Bebra GmbH and the Bebra sewage company. The cooperation of everyone involved promises a positive result: a safe and modern passage through the town that meets the requirements of the future. The Hessian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport and Housing, which is responsible for the planning approvals, supports these measures in the sense of sustainable traffic planning. So be excited to see what the coming months will bring. The team work team has a good hand and we hope for a smooth and quick implementation!
