On June 29, 2025, there is reason to be happy in Bebra: 19-year-old Carolina Oeste passed the Abitur with a dream grade of 1.0. It is one of a total of 16 single-high school graduates in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district. Carolina, who has a preference for mathematics and chemistry, not only invested a lot of time in her academic performance, but also trained athletics five times a week. Their sporting highlight was the winning of the Hessian championships in the javelin throw.
For the subjects mathematics, biology, German, chemistry and religion, she has prepared intensively. At the A prom of the Jakob Grimm School, she will celebrate in a light blue dress while she is preparing for the next phase of life. Her biology teacher presented her a farewell gift, a "positive potato", which is an original and humorous farewell.
The next step: study medicine
Carolina Plant to study medicine with a preference for universities in Mainz or Heidelberg. She already has an eye on her application, with the deadline ending on July 17th. However, a plan B does not exist; She relies on this dream. With regard to living during her studies, she prefers not to move into a shared apartment with strangers, but rather to live with acquaintances or alone.
After school stress, the graduate plans a trip to Bali and Singapore with a friend to treat themselves to something after the intensive learning phases. Education in Germany is a national matter, and the Abitur, the highest school leaving certificate, is a prerequisite for access to universities or equal universities.
