The Fulda neighborhood award attracts with an exciting coordination that runs until June 17, 2025, midnight. Citizens are invited to choose their favorite neighborhoods online or by post. The options are diverse and the competition is great: a total of six neighborhoods are available. These include Poppenhausen-Tränkhof, Fulda-in Fischfeld, Neuhof-Rommerz, Petersberg-Almendorf, Poppenhausen-Maulkuppenstraße and Petersberg-Liegnitzer Straße. The final participants were carefully selected by a jury to distinguish the best neighborly initiatives!

The winners will then be announced on June 24, 2025 during a solemn award ceremony.

The prize money

The Fulda neighborhood award is initiated by Antonius and is intended to make the neighborhood lived visible. In addition to the prestige, the winners also wave attractive prize money:

  • 1st place: 2,000 euros
  • 2nd and 3: 1,000 euros each
  • 1,000 euros surprise price for the other nominated

sustainability and social cohesion

In addition to the Fulda neighborhood award, there are numerous initiatives across Germany that promote cooperation. One example is the German Neighborhood Prize, which distinguishes committed neighborhood projects. In this award, 16 neighborhood projects and five themed winners are appointed by a specialist jury in different categories, including generations, culture & sport, sustainability, public space and diversity. Here, 57,000 euros will flow into the projects in funding for neighborly actions, supported by committed sponsors such as the Deutsche Postcode Lottery and the German Cities Day. The winner will be awarded in Berlin in November 2024.
