SG Eiterfeld/Leimbach is strengthening: Four new additions for the season!

SG Eiterfeld/Leimbach has big plans for the upcoming 2025/2026 association league season. Four new additions were introduced today to bring a breath of fresh air and experience to the team. Among the newcomers is Ferhat Yildiz, who comes from FC Eichenzell. The central striker should not only score goals, but also act as a mentor for the young players. Alexander von Butler, a 23-year-old goalkeeper with experience from the Thuringia League and Hessen League, will also strengthen the defense. Sinan Erkan, a defensive player from FSG Bebra, also brings valuable experience from JSG Eitratal. To complete the squad, Yannick Schiffhauer, a promising player from SG Soisdorf/Rasdorf, will initially play in the second team. Torgranate.de reports that two departures have been recorded after Hünfeld: Boas Kümmel and Bartosz Witkowski have to be replaced.

Sporting director Florian Roth sees himself well positioned with this strategic realignment. Six promoted youth players from our own ranks as well as the four newcomers could offer the team a strong foundation. Roth emphasizes that the plans for the new season are “fundamentally completed” and thus also acknowledges the club’s youth work. Finally, SG Eiterfeld/Leimbach successfully managed to stay in the league and is now pursuing the goal of further developing young talent in the senior sector.

Focus on promoting young talent

A large part of squad planning relies on young talent. A total of seven players were brought up from the JSG Eitratal A youth team. These include Fynn Petrich (19), Julius Budenz (18), Marlon Katzer (19), Joshua Winter (18), Joel Salzer (18), Sebastian Trost (18) and Jonas Bornschier (18). These young talents have already gained initial experience in the first and second teams and are ready to get started in the senior level. East Hesse News emphasizes that the club specifically relies on young, success-hungry players to underpin its ambitions in the association league.

Supporting youth work is a central concern of the association. And the financial aspects are also being considered: The Badischer Sportbund Freiburg, for example, offers subsidies for licensed trainers in clubs, which can amount to up to €500 per trainer per year. This financial support could also be interesting for Eiterfeld/Leimbach in order to further increase the quality of the coaching team and thus ensure the long-term development of young players.

Overall, SG Eiterfeld/Leimbach is well positioned for the coming season and is not afraid to rely on its own young talent. The first steps have been taken, now it's time to set the right course.
