There were two incidents of serious bodily harm in Fulda: one man was injured with a firecracker and another with a knife.

A worrying incident occurred in the city of Fulda on the night of November 1st, which not only heated up tempers but also resulted in dangerous bodily harm. At around 2 a.m., a heated argument broke out near the town parish church between a group of friends and a group of around seven to eight people. In this tumult, a 21-year-old was injured in the head with an ignited firecracker, as FFH reports.
The whole thing started when the 21-year-old and his companions were verbally attacked. The verbal argument turned into a scuffle that ended tragically. The injured man was taken to hospital, but fortunately the doctors were quickly able to give the all-clear - his injuries are not life-threatening. The police have started an investigation and are looking for witnesses who observed the incident.
Descriptions of the perpetrators
The descriptions of two men from the attacking group are particularly striking. The first man is described as 16 to 17 years old, slim and around 1.65 meters tall. He has brown hair and a prominent birthmark on his right cheek. He was wearing a gray jacket, blue jeans and white shoes. The second man involved in the altercation is described as 17 to 18 years old and of southern appearance. He is slim, about 1.80 meters tall and has a slight mustache and brown eyes. He was wearing a black hooded jacket. The police in Fulda are asking for information on 0661/1050.
Bodily harm also elsewhere
But this is not the only incident of this kind from Fulda. On June 29th there was also a dangerous physical injury on Leipziger Strasse, which resulted in an extensive police operation. A 40-year-old man from Künzell was injured in the shoulder with a sharp-edged object during an argument with a 42-year-old man from Fulda. Fortunately, the injury was not life-threatening, but the victim still had to be taken to the hospital for medical care, as the Fuldaer Zeitung reports.
The exact circumstances of this physical altercation remain unclear to this day, and the suspected man was no longer on site when the police arrived. Residents expressed concern about an alleged stabbing, prompting several police patrols and a team from the Operational Investigation and Control Unit to search the residence. The investigation is ongoing and the whereabouts of the perpetrator remain uncertain.
These incidents shed a shadowy light on the social climate in Fulda and show that things are crackling here and there. The authorities are called upon to avoid such dangerous situations in the future and to take citizens' perceptions of security into account.
