Secret Santa Festival in Reich Saxony: Colorful parade delights young and old!
Last weekend, Reich Saxony was transformed into a colorful festival carousel when the traditional Secret Santa festival attracted numerous visitors to the small streets and alleys of the community. From June 12th to 16th, 2025, the event invites you to have fun together and have lots of entertainment. The highlight of the event was the parade, which paraded through the town on Sunday afternoon and appropriately framed the colorful hustle and bustle of the celebrations. As the HNA reports, the parade was a real experience for the participants and spectators.
The *Home and Secret Santa Festival* is organized by the Reich Saxony Festival Committee and offers a varied program. The celebration opened on Thursday evening in the “Reichensächser Hof” community center, where Mayor Frank Kummer took the floor and the musical performance was accompanied by the “Vogelwiesn-Musi” band. Admission to the festivities was free, and the number of visitors was already high on the first evening Werra Rundschau highlights.
Diverse program over the festive season
Over the following days, the Secret Santa festival offered a variety of activities. The traditional *garland wrapping* and a street festival began on Friday, which not only featured delicious food from the local innkeepers, but also live music from “Blechkalation” and the accordion group from 3 p.m. DJ Dave Smile ensured that the mood remained high after the banquet.
Saturday had a special surprise in store: in the evening the band “Partyfürsten” got the crowd dancing, while during the day there was a family day with lots of games and attractions. The celebratory wristband, which was available for cheaper in advance, was particularly attractive. The eagerly awaited plaque to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Paul Moor School was also eagerly sold and adorned many T-shirts and bags.
Parade and final celebrations
Sunday began with a musical wake-up call by the band and the accordion group, followed by an open-air church service and a morning pint. The big parade, in which eight musical parades paraded through the streets, was the highlight of the day and created an exuberant atmosphere. At 7:30 p.m. the elves were ceremoniously farewelled with helium balloons.
At the end of the Secret Santa festival on Monday there was a free beer tapping by Mayor Frank Kummer and a performance by the Pfunds guys from Tyrol. The celebrations ended with the party band Red in the afternoon and a satisfied audience who left the festival with happy memories.
Reichensachsen has once again proven that its Secret Santa festival is a real highlight in the calendar, bringing the community together and providing unforgettable moments. The success of the event suggests that future festivals will also attract great interest.
