MINT trade fair in Witzenhausen: hands-on technology for young and old!
On Sunday, September 21, 2025, it will be “hands-on technology” again at the Witzenhausen school campus. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., young and old can gain exciting insights into the world of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology (MINT). The tickets cost nothing – there is something for everyone! After all, over 60 exhibitors are expected, including companies, universities, research institutes and schools, who will present their extensive knowledge and impressive projects. The main aim is to awaken enthusiasm for MINT careers and inspire future generations.
A highlight will be the official opening of the event, which will take place at 11 a.m. by Armin Schwarz, the Hessian Minister for Culture, Education and Opportunities, in the Copernicum Natural Science Center. The diversity of the program offers not only a lot to marvel at with fascinating experiments and astonishing phenomena, but also the opportunity to become active and take part yourself.
An experience ticket into the future
But that's not all! Visitors can look forward to interesting insights into innovative research projects as well as information about apprenticeships and career paths in technology-related professions. The focus is also on acquiring basic skills in MINT subjects. The topic of MINT career orientation is supported by various initiatives such as the Telekom Foundation, which aim to support schools in designing learning offerings in these areas. The needs of the students are also taken into account in order to increase the attractiveness of MINT subjects.
As part of this year's Science Year 2025, special attention will be paid to the topic of “Future Energy”. Presentations on the energy transition and climate protection are on the program here. These topics are not only of current importance, but should also help raise awareness for sustainable solutions.
Body and well-being are taken care of
The culinary needs of the guests are also taken into account. The Johannisberg School and the vocational schools spoil their visitors with a selection of coffee, cake, warm snacks and drinks. This way you can enjoy the day in a relaxed manner while finding out about the latest developments in the MINT world.
The Witzenhausen school campus is therefore the ideal place to experience the fascination for technology and science up close. Whether for school classes, families or technology enthusiasts – the MINT trade fair promises an exciting program with numerous hands-on activities. Don't miss this special experience!
